Con: The Saga Continues

Okay, so I finally got through on the phone line to the travel agency (Travel Planners) for the con (3 and a half hours later...). Apparently their website crashed around 9:30 PST - which is around the same time I had gotten the confirmation window up. And all the people that did get through booked absolutely all the hotel rooms close to the convention center.

All of them.

The bastards.

So I'm on a waitlist (thank you Andrea!), and Travel Planners is trying to get more close rooms. At least I'm on a wait list. That's three hours of my life I'll never get back.

Those rooms went insanely fast. I think the Marriott was gone in a half hour. I was in for a res there but then it decided to crash on me. You're lucky you were able to get them on the phone. I settled for the Sheraton, which after looking at their site is a very nice hotel and CC got an excellent rate. I'm just a tad bummed I'll be taking the shuttle in. Thanks for your comment!

I stayed in hotel circle one year, which was horrible - mostly because it was a Holiday Inn.

Taking the train or trolley or whatever in was not bad though.
